Why therapy? Shouldn’t I be able to handle this by myself?
Research shows that therapy can help many people. Many of my clients report relief from stress, depression and grief. Other clients seek therapy because they long for deeper meaning in their lives, or they seem to be stuck in a revolving door of faulty thinking that is keeping them stuck in unproductive behavior, or are looking for a greater sense of peace. While you certainly have the inner resources and may indeed be able to handle this alone, I believe that having an unbiased third party who is focused only on you and you being happier can make the process easier.
I am worried if I open up and share my feelings I will feel worse?
A big part of therapy is helping my clients be present to their emotions in a loving and caring way. I will not push a client into painful material, instead I will help the person to stay calm, curious, and compassionate. When I guide clients through the process of opening their hearts to the parts of themselves that carry intense feelings or beliefs, therapy proceeds safely at the pace best suited for them, and clients release the burdens they’ve carried, and feel much better.
It would be more convenient for me to schedule a Skype or a telephone counseling call. Is that a possible?
Yes, this can be arranged! During our initial consultation we can
decide when it would be convenient for you. In today’s world location, work, commitment effects our time and flexibility in scheduling an appointment. Skype or telephone sessions allow you the freedom to schedule an appointment at your convenience.
How much do you charge and are discounts available?
I will discuss my fee per session with you on the phone and your needs. A 10% discount is available if you pay for 6 sessions in advance, which must be used within 3 months of purchase and is non-refundable.
What form of payment do I accept?
I accept cash or pay pal.
How long is a session?
A session lasts for 60 minutes.
How long is the length of therapy? The course and length of therapy is uniquely related to you and your concerns. Typically we would schedule weekly sessions in the beginning and meet less frequently toward the end.
What do I do if I cannot attend my appointment or need to reschedule?
When you book an appointment with me, other people are prevented from using time allocated for you. A 24 hour notice period is required to either cancel or reschedule your appointment. This can be done by phoning, texting or emailing me. Without notification within the required time period the full fee will be charged.
Are you the right therapist for me?
In order to work with any therapist, you need to feel comfortable and most importantly, safe. After you have gone through my website, do call and let’s chat. You can make a booking for a Free 15 minute consultation. Then if you feel that I am the right person for you, we can set up an appointment.
